Brittany Chavis

Brittany Chavis

Academic Director

A New York Native, Brittany moved to Utah in high school and went on to complete a Bachelor’s in Social Work from BYU and then a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Utah. She’s worked at the House of Hope and Community of Action, as well as The Indian Walk-In Center, giving her extensive experience working with individuals who are struggling and in need of support. Her father oversees the TRIO and Upward Bound programs at UVU which gives her unique access to some of the University’s support systems.

As a wife and mother of four children, two of whom have IEP’s themselves, she is familiar with the balance between assisting and empowering students to do things on their own. She was drawn to Arise because she believes in their mission to help students become independent and live their best lives. She loves Zumba and instructs classes when she’s not at Arise.
