Sarahjane Gribbins
Mentor
Originally from Grand Prairie, Texas, Sarahjane moved to Utah in January of 2013.
Alongside having over 10 years of children’s care and development in professional and home settings, she also has extensive experience in customer service and retail management. Her experiences working with children and youth ignited her passion to support and help young people in the areas of relationships, personal growth, and mental health.
Sarahjane was initially working towards a nursing degree at Utah Valley University, but recently changed her major to pursue social work. Stumbling upon The Arise Society allowed for aligning herself with passion for people. She loves the opportunity to have purposeful relationships with students one-on-one, as well as through community activities. Seeing students go through the program with transparency, self reflection, and taking action despite challenges, has been a rewarding experience.
On her off-shifts, Sarahjane enjoys attempting to cook, reading thriller novels, binge-watching crime documentaries, and is an avid houseplant hobbyist. She is rarely ever seen without a coffee in hand.
